Providing the framework for managers to
   communicate and take action on their results

Our Action Planning System guides managers through the process of reviewing Employee Survey survey results, choosing focus areas, and taking action.

Action Planning System

  • Provides a systematic way for managers to review their department’s Trust Index© survey results and employee comments along with appropriate benchmarks and trending data (for multi-year clients)
  • Provides in-depth information on the behaviors that contribute to the development of trust between employees and managers within the framework of the Great Place to Work® Model©
  • Presents a structured plan for managers to choose focus areas, develop objectives, identify resources needed, and establish milestones for measuring progress toward creating a great workplace
  • Enables senior management and/or Human Resources professionals to collect and collate department-level Trust Index© data to examine overall trends and issues
  • Provides access to Best People Practices© examples that are specific to managers’ focus areas

How It Works

  • Trust Index° survey data is presented to managers via Department Reports (paper-based or online) that include:
    • The Trust Index© survey results for individual department managers, with comparisons to internal business units and the organization’s overall results
    • Benchmark data from the 100 Best Companies and the Institute’s client database
    • Trending data (for multi-year clients)
    • Employee comments from responses to open-ended survey questions
  • Managers have access to the following tools and materials throughout the Action Planning process:
    • The overview to introduce managers to the Great Place to Work® Model©, the Action Planning process and the organization’s Trust Index© survey project
    • A clear, well defined methodology for interpreting survey results
    • Communication resources for sharing survey results with employees, including a customizable PowerPoint template for presenting results, guidelines for facilitating feedback and evaluation sessions, and a handout of the Great Place to Work® Model©
    • An Action Plan framework that leverages the strengths of the organization or workgroup as well as identifying opportunities
    • Best People Practices© from companies appearing on the 100 Best Companies and Best Small and Medium CompaniesTo Work For lists produced by the Institute

We also recommend having our consultants facilitate an interactive Taking Action on Your Trust Index© Results Workshop or conduct individual coaching sessions to help managers understand their department’s survey results and provide guidance in action planning.
