Nugget Markets Moves up on "Best Company" list

ELK GROVE, CA - For a fifth year in a row, Nugget Markets have landed on the list of "100 Best Companies To Work For."
Last year, the Woodland-based firm was number 10 on the Fortune magazine list. This year it moved up to number 5.
"It's family-oriented. Everybody is about having a good time," said Tammy Campbell. She is the kitchen manager at the company's Elk Grove store.

Punching the clock carries a whole new meaning for the hundreds of thousands of once-full-time workers who have sought part-time gigs to stay afloat. In fact, there are almost two million more part-time workers – 26.5 million total – in the United States now than there were a year ago, according the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
