Using Social Media to Enable Transparency and Collaboration
At the fall 2012 ESN Meeting, we will explore ways that Best Companies use social media to promote transparency and collaboration within their organizations. At this day-and-a-half session hosted by NetApp in the heart of Silicon Valley, participants will:
- Learn best practices and trends among 2012 Best Companies in the area of social media, based on Great Place to Work® research
- Learn and share internal and external social media practices with Best Companies peers to enhance transparency and collaboration
- Examine the business side of social media practice implementation (platforms, staffing, budget, infrastructure, etc.)
- Hear from NetApp CEO Tom Georgens and other leaders
- Build relationships with other Executive Strategy Network members
- Apply learning to real organization challenges
General Information
The Executive Strategy Network Meeting will be held at NetApp Headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA on November 7 and 8.
On Tuesday, November 6, members are invited to a welcome cocktail reception at the nearby Hyatt Regency, Santa Clara, where hotel rooms are also being held for participants.
On Wednesday, November 7, the ESN Dinner will be held at the Testarossa Winery in Los Gatos.
Shuttle transportation between the Hyatt Regency, NetApp, and the ESN Dinner will be provided.Accommodations

Transportation
A shuttle service between the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, Net App, and the ESN Dinner will be provided for your convenience. You may wish to use a taxi or shuttle to get to and from the airport rather than renting a car.
Airport Transportation
San Jose Taxi Service: Taxis are stationed at the San Jose Airport for on-demand service. They are easily accessible from Terminal A and Terminal C. Approximate cost for a taxi to or from the airport is $20.00 - $30.00
San Jose Airport Shuttles: Shuttles to the hotel can can be found waiting in one of two areas:
- Terminal A - In the Ground Transportation Center located south of the Terminal Garage
- Terminal C - Outside, same side of street, just south of baggage claim
Airport Shuttle Cost: Approximate cost for one-way trip to or from the San Jose Airport is $16.00 - $21.00 per person.
Driving directions to the Hyatt Regency, Santa Clara, California
From Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport SJC (approximately 5 miles):
Turn left onto Airport Boulevard, and then turn left again onto Guadalupe Parkway. Follow the signs to Highway 101 North. Guadalupe Parkway will put you onto Highway 101 North. Take Great America Parkway and turn right.
From San Francisco International Airport SJC (approximately 30 miles):
Take Highway 101 South to Great America Parkway and turn left. Hyatt Regency Santa Clara is located on the right at the corner of Tasman and Great America Parkway.
Hotel parking: The hotel has ample, complimentary self parking. Valet parking available for $20.00 per day.

Attire
Dress is business casual. In the event of a chilly conference room and for the ESN Dinner (held outdoors weather permitting), you may wish to have a jacket or sweater.
