Hal Adler
Adjunct Consultant
Hal Adler is President and Founder of Leadership LandingTM, an executive coaching and consulting firm. Hal has held various roles while with Great Place to Work® Institute over his tenure of five years. After serving as President of the company for two years, Hal left the Institute in 2008 to start his own firm. Hal now serves clients of Great Place to Work® as an Adjunct Consultant. Hal's success over the years has been attributed to his keen and intuitive understanding of leadership, workplace culture and change. Hal is often touted as someone with a unique and special understanding of what makes organizations tick and what individual leaders can do to support and foster high trust and high engagement in any organization. Cited by clients as "Trusted Advisor" and "Master Guide", Hal deeply understands cultural transformation, and knows how to facilitate it, one leader at a time. Hal's range of practical, hands-on leadership experience spans from managing within multi-national publicly held companies, to being the first hire in boutique consulting firms. Hal has years of experience working with leadership across such industries as healthcare, finance, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, technology and construction. Before joining Great Place to Work® Institute, Hal held leadership positions at The Center for Talent Retention, Manpower, and the Training Arts Institute, an organization that he founded. Before entering the field of management consulting, Hal's professional roles have included restaurant owner, opera singer and orchestral conductor. Hal studied Music Performance and Theory while attending undergraduate school at State University of New York, Purchase and continued post-grad studies in Conducting and Performance at The Boston Conservatory of Music. Hal has received expert training in Integral Coaching through New Ventures West, and has had professional training in Buddhist Psychology and Advanced Meditation.
