Family-owned business Mars creates a cohesive culture across its six businesses and its many country offices. Associates are also given the opportunity to take on international assignments with its Mars Ambassador Program (MAP). MAP allows people to work with non-profits across the globe, sharing their expertise and deepening their knowledge in a particular area. Teams have had the chance to travel to Indonesia, Brazil, El Salvador, and Romania – to name a few. One associate explains how the experience impacted her:

"By building relationships with the other MAP Ambassadors, I learned how the Mars culture unites us. Even though we came from different segments and countries, we all shared similar values and pride in our work – I shared these themes with my team upon returning from my trip. Additionally, the experience enhanced my project management skills since we worked across a large, diverse team of Ambassadors and students to get the project completed and build our presentation."
