Ready to Be A Part of Our Family?

At Southern Pipe, we want to help you build your career. Here, you’re not an employee. You’re a “family member,” and we treat you that way. In an industry with traditionally high turnover, our voluntary retention rate is 90%. In fact, thanks to our family members’ feedback, Southern Pipe has been certified as a “ Great Place to Work .” We’re the only wholesale plumbing, water & sewer, or HVAC supply making this list, a fact that speaks volumes to our company culture & camaraderie.

Benefits

At Southern Pipe, we offer a wide array of benefit options. So that you and your family can have peace of mind, we provide company-paid health, life, and long-term disability insurance, as well as a 401k retirement program with a company match. In addition, each family member can choose to participate in dependent-coverage health insurance & a variety of supplemental insurance products.

Personal Development

Commitment and personal growth are fundamental components of Southern Pipe’s philosophy, and we place great value on training and developing ALL our family members. Our commitment to growing every family member is evident in our online university – The Learning Center @ Southern Pipe. In addition to the 300+ courses available 24/7 on the Learning Center, additional growth and educational opportunities are offered through in-class seminars, plant tours and more.

Joining Our Family

Most opportunities at Southern Pipe are found in our branch operations. They include warehousing, local deliveries, administrative positions, counter sales, showroom sales, and management positions. At our Central Distribution Center, we have opportunities for shipping, receiving, long-haul driving, and supervisory positions. At the Home Office, we have opportunities for clerical, administrative and management careers in areas including accounting, credit, human resources & training, information systems, inventory, marketing, merchandising, and purchasing.

In addition to these branch opportunities, many of our managerial positions are filled from our own “home grown” talent. One source of this talent is current family members who excel at their job, working their way into management. Another source is our Distribution Development Program (DDP). Southern Pipe’s DDP seeks out those who go above & beyond in their work, who have a minimum of two years’ of college experience (a bachelor’s degree is preferred), and who are willing to learn our business from the ground-up. This fast-paced program is designed to prepare DDP candidates for managerial positions at Southern Pipe.
