May 4, 2016 (San Francisco, Calif.) – Times are tough in the health care industry. Organizations in the field must navigate regulatory, social and technological challenges. But a new study from consulting and advisory firm Great Place to Work® offers a prescription for success. It concludes that cultivating a healthy sense of pride and camaraderie among employees creates competitive advantages for health care companies.

The report released today, How to Build a Great Workplace in Health Care, analyzes more than 34,000 employee survey responses at 51 health care organizations considered for the list of the 20 Best Workplaces in Health Care, recently published by Great Place to Work® and Fortune Magazine.

Among the findings:

  • List winners had 8.6% percent annual voluntary turnover for full-time employees v. a 14.4% industry average
