What is a great workplace and how do you create one? The first step for managers is to understand and measure employee opinion, their perceptions of the workplace and the trust within the workplace.
Great Place to Work has been researching the employee experience in thousands of companies worldwide for more than 25 years. This has led to a very important conclusion: managers make the critical difference between a good workplace and a great one. Based on this insight, we’ve developed The Great Workplace: Building Trust and Inspiring Performance. This half- or full-day manager training session examines:
- The definition of a great workplace from the employee perspective.
- A comprehensive, accessible model for understanding the relationships that impact employees’ perceptions of the workplace.
- The role that managers play in creating a positive workplace culture.
- Actions that managers can take to begin the process of creating and maintaining high-trust cultures.
Taught in both small and large group activities and through group coaching, this foundation-level course is keyed by a leadership self-assessment with core concepts and real-life case studies. Participants receive the Great Place to Work® book, The Great Workplace: How to Build It, How to Keep It and Why It Matters, a participant workbook, and materials that cover leadership self-assessment and improving job environments.
