Eileen Fisher quickly rose from a small-time graphic designer to a visionary designer for an elegant system of clothing for women. Eileen believes mistakes equal opportunities, often telling stories of her own errors in order to inspire a vast sense of freedom in and among her staff. Each employee is given $2,000 to support their personal growth through self-selected education and wellness programs, and Eileen covers adoption and fertility expenses up to $10,000. Believing that “role models” are better than “models,” Eileen continues to show a diversity of women in her ad campaigns, giving employees the opportunity to model products and become the face of the company.
