Employees at Veterans United Home Loans believe in serving those who serve us. In 2011, the employee-driven Veterans United Foundation was started, and 80% of employees donated 1% of their salary to support its mission to enhance the lives of veterans and military families nationwide. Participating in activities such as building a Habitat for Humanity home for a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, and raising funds for other organizations that support veterans, is part of each Veterans United employee’s commitment to “deliver results with integrity” and “enhance lives every day.” With 42% of jobs filled through internal promotions, employees enjoy benefits including 50% gym memberships, an on-staff work-life coordinator, and Friday massages. Veterans United believes in taking care of employees personally and professionally, leaving these professionals saying that Veterans United excels at “employee care,” while they believe it is “an honor” to work there and serve those who have served us.
