BEST COMPANIES EVALUATIONS

Being evaluated for a Best Companies list is a two-part process; all participating organizations administer an employee survey and complete an in-depth questionnaire. Great Place to Work^{^®} Institute uses its proprietary tools for these evaluations:

Certain eligibility requirements must be met in order to consider your company for the 50 Best Small & Medium Companies to Work For list. Please thoroughly review below:

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible, an organization must meet the following requirements:

Have between 25 and 999 regular full- and part-time U.S. employees for the duration of the selection process. ("Regular" employees does not include temporary or seasonal employees, interns, etc.)
Companies must apply on behalf of the whole organization where similar workplace cultures exist.
Note: Subsidiaries of larger organizations are typically eligible for participation along with the parent organization – as long as the parent organization and subsidiaries together have no more than 999 U.S.-based employees.
If your company is planning a merger, acquisition, divestiture or to be acquired by a larger organization, please report as such when completing the nomination form, as we will have additional follow-up questions for you regarding the details which could impact your organization’s eligibility.
To protect the integrity of our Best Companies lists and ensure that no one participating company will have an unfair advantage and/or insider information regarding the selection process, any company that currently is or in the past has collaborated with Great Place to Work^{^®} Institute, Inc. to produce one of our U.S Best Companies lists and/or has served as a vendor with direct access to proprietary instruments, processes, or data, will be ineligible to participate in either of our U.S. Best Companies list processes. Please note: we anticipate that this restriction is only applicable to a very small number of organizations. If you have questions as to whether this applies to your organization, we invite you to contact the Best Companies Team.

An employee survey is the cornerstone of Great Place to Work^® Institute’s Best Companies evaluations.

There are two survey options to choose from. If you are interested in customizing a survey to meet your needs and/or completing a full employee census survey, select Survey Upgrade. Our Standard Survey is a predefined survey and is administered to a sample population of your employees.
