Great Place to Work® Institute employs the most rigorous methodology in the industry to select the Best Small & Medium Workplaces.
Companies that appear on the Great Place to Work® Rankings are selected primarily by their employees, who experience a high level of trust with management and pride in the workplace. The cultural practices at these workplaces further demonstrate that management understands and addresses employees’ needs.
We invite your company to participate in the Best Workplaces list.
Step 2 - Our Process
Participants in the Best Small & Medium Workplaces list undergo a series of steps in order to be considered for the rankings.
All participants must meet the following criteria in order to participate:
- Have between 25 and 999 employees
- Not be a subsidiary of a larger company
All participants must undergo a survey of all or a sample of their employee population. A minimum score on Great Place to Work® Institute’s Trust Index© Employee survey must be met before being invited to continue as a finalist.
Finalists will be invited to submit a Culture Audit©, an in-depth review of your company’s cultural practices, policies and benefits which are scored and analyzed in order to determine the Rankings.
Results are compiled and scored in order to determine the rankings and select the best.
Step 3 - Completion Options
There are two tracks to choose from depending on what you want to get out of the competition.
If you simply want to participate in the competition, the Basic Package includes:
- Participation in the Great Place to Work® Rankings
- A summary report of your survey scores
- Access to reports and services for competition applicants at full price
Cost: Complimentary
If you wish to participate in the competition and take an in-depth look at your survey results or workplace culture, there is Plus Package* that includes:
- Participation in the Great Place to Work® Rankings
- A comprehensive Trust Index© Scores Report, with your employee responses to the 58 survey statements
- A 15% discount on all other available reports and services for applicants

* Please Note: The Plus Package must be selected prior to administering the employee survey in February, 2011.
