Better Together: Equality of Representation

DEIB Employee Experience

DEIB: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging
Today, let us focus on the "D" and the "E". For some reason, it's become trendy to fly over these two as quickly as possible to speak to the "I" and the "B". Metaphors like "being invited to the dance" are used. I actually never wanted to be "invited to the dance" at work — I took care of that myself on the weekends.

As the hardest working man in showbiz, James Brown, said, "I don't want nobody to give me nothin. Just open up the door and I'll get it myself."

The "E": equity of opportunity, representation, compensation and well-being. It all starts with opportunity, then representation. This is where I inevitably hear, "But they are so hard to find."

Well, as someone who talks to hundreds of the "hard to find" every month, I have a Hispanic Heritage Month gift for you.

Meet NPower
I'll am joined by Bertina Ceccarelli, the CEO of NPower. This world-changing organization specializes in training and sourcing tech talent. They can fill your tech talent pipeline right now. 70% of the students they serve identify as Latinx/Black or multiracial. Companies like Accenture, Nationwide, Cisco, EY, KPMG, Deloitte, Salesforce, UKG, Workday, World Wide Technology (WWT) and many other Great Place To Work–Certified™ workplaces (see the full list below) hire their students every year.

Speaking of WWT, we are also joined by Nicole Tate, Area Vice President of Global Client Enablement, who will let you know how this talent has increased their competitive advantage.
