Certification, Employee Recognition

Certification Nation Day 2025 was more than a hashtag — it was a global celebration of trust, pride, and belonging at work.

On October 16, thousands of Great Place To Work® Certified™ companies around the world came together to shine a light on what makes their organizations special. This year’s celebration was filled with energy, gratitude, and a shared belief that better workplaces lead to better business and a better world.

Why we celebrate Certified workplaces

Certification Nation Day is all about highlighting the companies that have earned Great Place To Work Certification™. These organizations go beyond business as usual to create high-trust workplaces where employees feel valued, heard, and empowered to do their best work.

We use Certification Nation Day to spotlight those efforts and share the stories behind the Certified badge: the cultures built on trust, the leaders who listen, and the teams who make it all happen.

“What happens when leaders listen to the wisdom of their people? They build workplaces where every employee is seen, heard, and included. Certification Nation Day reminds us that the best cultures aren’t built at the top — they’re built by every person in the organization.”

Michael C. Bush, CEO, Great Place To Work

A record-breaking celebration

Certification Nation Day 2025 marked our biggest celebration yet. With thousands of Certified companies participating across the globe, this year’s event reached new heights in engagement, creativity, and impact.

From heartfelt employee shoutouts to team-wide celebrations, Certified companies showed up in full force to honor the cultures they’ve built. The energy and enthusiasm shared across platforms reflected a growing global movement to promote and foster high-trust workplaces.

This year’s celebration reminded us that great workplaces aren’t defined by location, industry, or size — they’re defined by trust, purpose, and the people who bring them to life.

Why companies get Certified

Great Place To Work Certification is more than an award — it’s a powerful tool for building better workplaces and stronger businesses. Companies pursue Certification to show their commitment to creating a high-trust workplace and, in the process, gain valuable insights about their employee experience.

The employee experience matters because it impacts business performance. Companies with high-trust cultures:

  • Outperform in the stock market
  • Earn more revenue per employee
  • Attract and retain more talent
  • Get more innovation, discretionary effort, and collaboration from employees

For leaders, Certification offers a clear view into what’s working (and where they can improve). For employees, it’s a signal that their voices matter. And for the world, it’s proof that great workplaces aren’t just possible — they’re already happening.

Join the movement

Certification Nation Day is a celebration, but it’s also an invitation. If your organization is committed to building a workplace where people are at their happiest and most productive, Great Place To Work Certification is the place to start.

Getting Certified is a straightforward process, and Certification is based on what your employees say about their experience. It’s also a powerful launchpad for your business’s next growth phase: It opens the door to powerful insights, trusted branding, and national recognition opportunities that help your company grow, attract top talent, and build a culture that lasts.
