The amount of interdepartmental growth that can be achieved by networking and expressing interest to learn is one of the biggest unique things I've seen compared to other companies. Simply saying that you may want to learn another part of the store results in other associates or the management team taking you under their wing to give a little taste of what the other department is like. Coming from Inventory, I was taught how to detail, how to do interior repairs, how to do minor prep work, how to fill out titles, among other things just because I asked, as well as fostering growth through a culture of learning rather than consequences for trying to learn or attempt something.
